unfortunately there's no FineVu setting to flip the video, I recommend reinstalling the rear camera, Do keep in mind most PC viewers will have an option to flip the video in the event something noteworthy is captured.

Glad you love the tint film as much as we do! It's definitely a unique and inventive option from Thinkware. As for the OBD port being used by both, consider either hardwiring your U3000, or getting an OBD splitter so they can both use the port together.

I have a BlackVue DR900x that I bought a aftermarket mount for. This mount allows me to hang it around my rear view mirror. It can swivel 360, and keeps the Sun off it too. It doesn’t get as hot as it used to.

Sounds like you have a BlendMount, which is a great option for high heat!

I would recommend an external battery pack for the Thinkware multiplexer, as the camera system will draw a significant amount of power with so many cameras in one. The Q850 is not mentioned here it was not out when this video was out, and I do not believe it has the proper connection types for the multiplexer

Not really! Most dash cams draw around the same amount of power, so they can be wired to the same fuse. A fuse rated between 10-20A is recommended for a dash cam. For more info, check out our hardwiring guide here: ua-cam.com/video/8NMHENYSSzg/v-deo.html

There's not too many differences! They offer the same features, with the key difference being that the OBD cable is plug and play, while the hardwire kit is more difficult to wire. The F200 does not have cloud features. Consider the Thinkware U3000, or Q1000 if you would like cloud features.

The yellow cable normally connects to an ACC, ignition based connection, while the Red wire connects to a constant one. This will depend on your specific cable, so always consult the labels on your specific cable.

Hi there. Sounds like your camera is set to a low-power parking mode, which consequently disables cloud features. Please ensure your parking mode is set to motion and impact or time-lapse, instead of energy saving mode 2.0.

Thanks for the feedback! We used to sell this model, and FineVu models are normally rather good. Currently, we've replaced it with the FineVu GX1000 due to the improved image quality, but they are both reliable and offer quality features.

Ah, yes, this can be a problem, though there are workarounds. Basically, both your carplay and camera will operate as wifi signals, and the carplay may bully your phone off of the camera wifi. It does depend on your carplay, but most of the time it's the Bluetooth portion that performs this automatic connection, so when you need to connect to the camera, all you'll need to do is disable Bluetooth first. I can assure you that this won't need to be a regular thing when you enter/exit the car, you can just let your camera do its own thing, and only connect to the camera to view footage and change settings. I recommend the PowerCell 8 battery pack, a reliable and high quality battery. The front and rear camera will be wired to this battery pack, and you can use the cigarette lighter fuse, as long as it has sufficient power for the battery pack, which normally needs 20A-30A worth of power. As for wiring into a BMW M235i, that should be relatively straightforward. If you can't fit the battery under your seats, you can put it in the glovebox, as we've done for this installation: ua-cam.com/video/K0IuGLGd-N8/v-deo.html

Hi there! I can confirm that you can have the front camera set to 2k @60fps while the rear camera is set to 2k @ 30fps. However, the HDR is all or nothing so you'll need to have it on for both or neither. At least there's an auto-HDR setting, which will you can set to only enable HDR during certain set windows.

@@blackboxmycar Appreciate your response! Was afraid the 2CH would lock me to 2K 30 both just for having front + rear run together. My initial plan was to get just a 1CH dash cam (A119 mini 2) so I could secure my 2K 60, as it's very important to me. As for the HDR, I wish they would just allow us to enable it on one camera out of the two, without affecting the other. Viofo should really take notes on that!

You certainly can plug the camera into a power bank instead of a car battery, we sell dash cam battery packs for that exact purpose. With that being said, using a standard USB battery often isn't ideal, since it can't tell the camera to go in and out of parking mode. As for whish is better in general, since the key difference is resolution, the A229 Plus is often better due to the lower price tag.
